“Curated collection of 75 DIY-friendly hardware synthesizers and related standalone musical equipment. All open source.”
I don’t think that this has been posted elsewhere in this forum (correct me if this is not the case).

Is it related to this?
No, the database points to a different Github repo by a different person, which is primarily listing standalone synths, controllers, and the like, rather than modules. I reckon many of the stuff @craigyb builds could be included in the former rather than the latter.
It’s nice to discover stuff, but beware, not every project here is necessarily feasible to make, or well-assessed in terms of beginner-friendliness.
Lots didn’t get any support in 5 years, and given they depend on sourcing weird stuff and programming microcontrollers… You might run into nasty surprises
A specific one that caught my eye on the page, for example, as far as i can tell most of the documentation is actually in random reddit threads & youtube videos that you’d never find from the github repo, which is outdated but won’t tell you.
You’re gonna have to do a bit of research if something catches your eye.
So true! But thanks to the internet my days of combing through back copies of electronics magazines and books at my local library are not missed. Perhaps we need a Verified Project list here?
