Good idea, i had the same for my Delay pedal, to used it on fx aux in my mixer table.
i used a vactrol to control the tap tempo, and very happy with it !

ECHO PARK pedal Mod (external sync tempo)

It’s a delay pedal that I often use in send / return on my mixer, it has a Tap tempo but you always have to press it to reset the tempo which shifts over time.
