Has anyone been using guitar pedals for MOD in their synths. Beyond the fact you have to do something with 15v to 9v.
we are talking about Stomp box adaptator module in this thread
the good schem is down of the page
but it’s not a guitar pedal mod, but maybe it’s can interest you also
Awesome thanks, I was thinking of using some of those cheap amoon guitar pedals from amazon to make some interesting modules like using cv to change speed of a tremolo via velocity of Keyes and such.
I made a Deep Blue Delay into a module and it worked great until i was moving it and snapped the board lmao…
You need to run some type of stomp adapter to bring the levels down and back up again since Modular runs higher than line level.
funny thing though, my AI006 diy kit is out for delivery today!
I gave up on trying to make my own after 3 failed attempts…
That’s awesome man, you think you could make a basic set up using and op amp and an attenuator? Do you have a link for your kit?
this is exactly the principle of the module in the link, decreased the signal so that it enters a pedal and increased it again for the modular
These are only 45 bucks for a kit.
DI box would work too.
There is a ton of basic “utility” modules that you could make with modified pedals I am sure of it!
The biggest thing is setting up a 9v power supply inside of your case, or a board to drop your 12v down to 9v to adapt all of the pedals to euro connectors
Ahhh I’m picking up what you’re dropping. Makes sense.
I think since there’s only a few pedals I’d wanna use I could allocate a panel as an FX loop with 9v. That’ll definitely add some fun to the project.
i don’t understand what you mean (sorry i’m french)
It’s all good, I meant I’m getting a good sense of what you’re saying.
ok
my english is not really good and I have a little trouble understanding some times
It’s no problem, I don’t mind you asking if I say something that’s hard to understand.
