8 FM poly voices in one

I needed a case to hold a cheap Ethernet switch in my server rack and printed this:

It’s customizable in OpenSCAD so you can chop it up to fit your printer.
I am slightly tempted to build another rack and put the modular in it now. One day, maybe.

Thank you for this I’m combining the new eurorack modules I’m building with my guitar and ewi control and fx rack. All going into mobile 19" racks.
These will be very useful.

OLED display is standard 1602 Winstar/Midas, I didn’t buy it from Amazon it was bought from Farnell in the UK over 4 years ago so I don’t have that information anymore.

As for the case, I buy them here in the Ukraine and again I only have limited information as I buy them from a shop, not an online order and they only have the shop catalogue number on the plastic packaging. I believe from some people on Facebook that these are available throughout Europe for around €20, so a search for an ABS plastic rack case should bring up some results for you.

I wonder whether you have managed to resolve the UI-issues. I found that not using external pull up resistors on the rotary encoder and using 10nF caps from the encode lines to GND helped a lot in making the clicks being correctly recognized.

I… don’t remember. A lot has happened since then! I’ll have to try and find it.

I’m puzzled by the presence of a performance mode on the MiniDexed and a sysex/voice directory. I can load a performance which (may) consist of instruments assigned to the Tone Generators, or I can click on a Tone Generator and change its Voice by paging through the patches in the files I’ve put in the sysex/voice directory and selecting one. But where are the voices used in the performances stored? Those are not the ones in the sysex/voice directory.

Can the MiniDexedCC librarian be of any use ? It seems to know only 4 Tone Generators whilst there are up to 8. Is the software just (a bit) outdated?

Each performance file includes all the voice data so they’re stand alone.

On both my builds I just used caps, no resistors are needed.

What kind of librarian do you use, if any?

I don’t use libraries at all
