Themaninthesuitcase build diary

I’ve been working on a Baby8 and am close to finished on it.

Opted for euro for now as I don’t really have room for anything bigger.

Basic PCB, used auto routing for most of it. Never used it before but saved me a ton of work redoing stuff as I shuffled parts around.

This is showing it with a step file exported from the faceplace project added as a footprint to check alignments, and hole sizes etc.
Whilst it sounds complicated, it’s not as bad as it sounds and saves me worrying for weeks that it won’t fit.

Current state of the face plate. It won’t be ENIG, to expensive, but it helps show what will be plated in the final design. I need to change 1v/oct to CV as it’s not is it…

Ideas what to do with the big empty space on the front on a post card.

Probably won’t order boards for a while, I want to get the oscillator sorted as well really so I can at least play something with it.
