I’m a software engineer based on the south coast of England. But as well as software, I tinker with electronics. I’ve wanted to build a modular synth for many years, but having time to do it and having the spare cash to do it never seemed to coincide until now.
Mortgage paid off, so more disposable income.
I have just started collecting components so that I can at least get something making a noise.
Decent carpentry skills and spare wood from the shed has me a case about the same dimensions as those from Sam’s build videos, but it’s looking very empty.
While I’m waiting for various components to arrive, I’m 3D printing front panels complete with embedded captions (my 4-coloour 3D printer is great).
I expect to have a bit more time next month, so once I have something worth showing, I’ll post some pics.
