Well, not exactly meanwhile, but in 1968 in Finland: Erkki Kurenniemi - Antropoidien tanssi (Love Records, 1968) - YouTube
It’s hard to even grasp how alien this kind of fully computer generated music that doesn’t really adhere to western standards of tonality and harmony has been in the 60’s. Erkki Kurenniemi also had some publications about music theory, mostly in Finnish, but “Musical harmonies are divisor sets” seems to be also in English: http://www.lahteilla.fi/kurenniemi/fi/timelinepage/11#99
