The Discourse platform puts some hard limits on what you can do when you first walk through the door, but it only takes 10 minutes to get past them: There are [higher levels](https://blog.discourse.org/2018/06/understanding-discourse-trust-levels/) that take more time and effort but getting to Basic is quick and easy enough. You can take 10 minutes to get to Basic level, then go back and edit your post to put the links in; you’ll probably get more useful replies that way.
