Hi there, I didn’t create the design, just made a stripboard out of it. I have no idea why GND is on the plate. You can ask the editor on youtube, the link to it is above. He is nice and also answers. ---

Good work ! just maybe it would be good to add the name/title (ex “ISD1820 sampler …”), and the source (Casper Electronic I believe), directly on your image. ---

just put in one rec and one trig jack for all 4 chips? or will it hold for 4 rec and 4 trig , also the Main out B100k is the summed of the 4 100k pots off the 4069 inverters and the the main out pot goes to the filter rc network as a A100k pot with .33uf cap? Great project just curious . thanks ---

…I have to say one more thing, if you build it all on a metal or aluminum plate, make sure that the microphone socket has NO contact with the metal, because this plate is connected to ground! It was best to do that later, using a socket with a plastic housing! ---

I’ve built this one a while back. However, I never managed to get rid of that “click” every time it loops or is triggered. Any solution? ---

Unfortunately, the clicking can not be eliminated, since the 1820 chip immediately shuts down to sleep after triggering in order to work in a battery-friendly (energy-saving) way. When you trigger it, full voltage is immediately available again, and then the cracker occurs. You could try whether it works a little better with a battery! ---

no, just normal speaker and I think it was 3 AA Batteries, but not sure about that. ---

Did you manage to add CV control to this? When following the schematics from Bastl I get reverse behaviour of the CV in relation to pitch (so lower voltage = higher pitch).
