The build instructions for that VCO mention an exponential converter but doesn’t explain how to build one. This article (by the same author) has the schematics:

> **[DIY Synth Series Part 1 — The Exponential VCO - Projects](https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/projects/diy-synth-series-vco/)**
>
> Build a 1V octave voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) module and create your own analogue synth sounds.

(Kristian Blasol of [Modular In A Week](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyE56WXw0_5Q5QGMEXWmskuhojKyRdA3T) fame is currently live streaming a build of the AAC version, and I thought the schematics looked suspiciously similar 😀 )
