So, Im getting ready to start soldering to stripboard, but I realized my TL072 and TL074 IC’s are surface mount and not through holes. I have almost no experience soldering, can I make it work, or should I just buy through hole versions.

They’re really cheap ICs, I’d just get the right ones in and not overcomplicate things.
If you get as sick as the rest of us, you’ll probably need the SMD chips someday anyway.

By the time you have bought adaptors and pins for them and learned to solder smd components you could have easily replaced all of them and built your project. Unless you have the correct tools or are well experienced, keep away from smd.
